The 2025 Academy Awards delivered a night of cinematic celebration, memorable speeches, and fashion statements that had everyone talking last night.

We were live tweeting the awards and honestly, it was a big relief when they came to an end, because they were pretty damn boring.

If you couldn't sit through the whole show, fear not because we have some highlights from the night for you!

Here's a roundup of the key winners, standout moments, and the best and worst dressed from Hollywood's biggest night.

Major Winners:

Best Picture:

Anora dominated the evening, clinching the coveted Best Picture award.

Best Director:

Sean Baker took home Best Director for Anora, adding to the film's impressive haul.

Best Actress:

Mikey Madison's compelling performance in Anora earned her the Best Actress accolade, beating out Demi Moore who honestly really deserved this one for her work in The Substance.

Best Actor:

Adrien Brody was honored as Best Actor for his role in The Brutalist, thanking Harvey Weinstein's wife and kids in his speech.

Memorable Moments:

Kieran Culkin's Heartfelt Speech:

Upon winning Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain, Kieran Culkin charmed the audience with a touching and humorous speech, playfully pledging to his wife that they should consider having a fourth child.

Adam Sandler's Casual Ensemble:

In a move that defied traditional Oscar attire, Adam Sandler attended the ceremony in a hoodie and basketball shorts, a look he's known for when he's spotting out on the town. The show turned this into a bit with host Conan O'Brien calling him out.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo's Opening Number:

The duo delivered an opening performance with a duet of the song "Defying Gravity" from Wicked.
